    About Us

    The Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s provides state-of-the-art expertise in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery. We are focused on delivering exceptional guideline-focused patient care and education, in close partnership with care providers across the community and the Mount Sinai Health System.

     
    Our established team of skilled surgeons and clinician specialists work with the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital, and Mount Sinai Heart, to provide the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment with dedicated expertise in:
     
    • Coronary artery bypass grafting, including total arterial revascularization
    • Mitral valve repair, and atrial fibrillation surgery
    • Aortic valve reconstruction and aortic root surgery
    • Reoperative cardiac surgery
    • Minimally invasive surgery, including video assisted surgery, cosmetic incisions, and fast-track recovery
