  • Community Health Outreach

St. Luke’s Medical Group is committed to delivering Harlem with the medical care the community deserves. We provide high-quality primary care and geriatric (older adult) and internal medicine to Harlem, and in collaboration with St. Luke's Hospital, we also make sure that education and screenings are readily available to those who need it.

    Providing support to the community

The community health outreach experts at St. Luke’s Hospital consult with leaders, elders and activists on community boards, churches, schools and senior centers to learn more about what the community wants and needs. Lectures, workshops and screenings will be offered throughout the neighborhood. For instance, we currently have a program that provides prostate cancer screening and education on site at barbershops.

In the churches, schools and elsewhere in the neighborhood, you will have access to programs of interest on the following topics:

    • Heart disease
    • Stroke
    • Diabetes
    • High blood pressure
    • Asthma
    • Cancer
    • HIV/AIDS
    • Sexual health
    • Alcohol and substance abuse
    • Domestic violence
    • Smoking cessation

Visit health events at St. Luke’s Hospital  to get a calendar of programs such as screenings, health fairs, conferences, workshops and lectures.
