The Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group offers new patients a chance to learn more about our program, surgical options, and aftercare. For patients who have already had surgery, the group offers a supportive environment to help manage the emotional changes and situations that can occur as a result of weight loss.

Domestic Violence Support Group (women only) focuses on the dynamics of abusive relationships, self-care, and steps to living without violence.
Date and Time: All groups require a pre-group interview with the facilitating therapist. Groups meet on a weekly basis and are time-limited, usually 8, 12 or 16 weeks. Seeking Safety helps survivors gain coping skills to address current problems such as anger, anxiety, substance abuse, or other addictive behaviors. The goal of the group is to assist clients in building safety in their lives, and in so doing, to move toward freeing themselves from trauma at a deep emotional level.

The New Parent Breastfeeding Support Group provides support, encouragement, and guidance for breastfeeding mothers and new parents. Discussion topics include growth and development, feeding issues, self esteem as a parent, time management, return to work in/out of home, and free discussion for other areas of concern. The Group is facilitated by a master’s prepared pediatric nurse practitioner

Vascular Birthmark Support Group is designed to help with emotional support, financial issues, insurance issues and, most importantly, awareness. We work to connect patients with other patients going through similar treatments and with similar diagnoses.
