We specialize in the treatment of a wide variety of foot and ankle disorders, including problems such as:

    • Ankle sprains and strains
    • Ankle fractures
    • Ankle instability
    • Foot fractures
    • Bunions
    • Hammer toe
    • Rheumatoid arthritis in the foot
    • Achilles tendon ruptures and tears
    • Overuse related injuries

For any injury of the foot or ankle, correct orthopedic treatment is essential in order to heal the injury properly and help prevent future problems. From diagnosis to rehabilitation, our foot and ankle experts will work closely with you and help you get back on your feet as soon as possible.

Some treatment options for disorders of the foot and ankle include:

    • Ice packing and rest may help with some simple sprains, strains, stress fractures in the toes, and other injuries.
    • Medications, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or cortisone injections, may be prescribed to reduce pain and inflammation for everything from arthritis to bunions.
    • Foot taping or padding may be recommended for bunions, heel pain, and other disorders.
    • Physical therapy may help to reduce the pain from such disorders as bunions or arthritis, or may be used as a strengthening program with ankle instability. Physical therapy is also generally recommended following surgery.
    • Splinting, bracing, or casting may be used for sprains, strains, fractures of the ankle or foot, and other injuries.
    • Surgery may be the answer if your pain doesn't respond to any of the more conservative treatments listed above. Surgical procedures may be used to treat a wide variety of foot and ankle problems, including sprains, fractures, ankle instability, arthritis, bunions, hammer toes, and ruptured Achilles tendons. Arthroscopic (minimally invasive) surgery may be used to confirm a diagnosis or perform a procedure within a joint. Whenever possible, non-surgical treatment is our first course of action, but if surgery becomes necessary, we offer the latest minimally invasive techniques.
